Słowik Aneta

Alison Stenning is Professor of Social and Economic Geography in the School of Geography, Politics and Sociology at Newcastle University. She has worked on the geographies of post-socialism for more than 15 years, focusing particularly on issues of work, class, gender and community. She has published 2 edited books and more than 40 book chapters and articles in this field, based on research founded by, amongst others, the ESRC and the Nuffield Foundation.


Aneta Słowik (BA French Philology; MA Pedagogy, specialisation: counselling; PhD in Human Sciences – Pedagogy) is Researcher and Lecturer at the Office of Social Pedagogy and Counselling of University of Lower Silesia in Wrocław (Poland). She has worked scientifically on multicultural counselling for asylum seekers, refugees and migrants. Her field of research is related to biographical learning of Polish migrants in North East of UK. She has been invited several times as a visiting lecturer at University of Nantes (France), University of Fez (Morocco), Oslo University College (Norway), Newcastle University (UK), University of Patras (Greece).
